It would help us greatly if you could
follow these instructions:
1. You are strongly encouraged to produce an electronic file which can be projected, both here
and abroad, using the JET system (JTV, VRVS, Web). The strongly preferred format
is PDF. Less preferred but still acceptable are formats
such as Microsoft Power Point or Word. Macintosh formats involve extra
work so please ensure that the file is sent to us at least two working days
before the date of the Seminar. Old-fashioned transparencies or paper
should be avoided if at all possible.
2. Contact Seminar
Organisation to
either authorise us to place a copy of your talk on our public website http://www.jet.efda.org or (less preferred) telling us that your file should only be placed on
our internal, restricted access, website http://users.jet.efda.org.
Alternatively, you may choose not to authorise its web display at all.
3. If using an electronic file, please send it one working day or more
before the date of the Seminar. We can cope with the file arriving a few
hours before the Seminar but this is difficult (particularly if it is
not a PDF file), so please be considerate. There are two options for sending
us the file:
1 If you are INSIDE the JET computing environment, place a
copy of the file in the Seminars folder of the T drive, T:\Seminars
and then tell us it is there by contacting Seminars
Organisation and specifying in the form the date of the seminar,
the name of the speaker and choice of web access level (public, internal,
or none).
or 2 If you are OUTSIDE the JET computing environment, please contact Seminars Organisation to
request an email address to send the file to. Please specify the date
of the seminar, the name of the speaker and choice of web access level
(public, internal, or none).
4. If you have never used the JET system before, arrange a rehearsal
before your scheduled talk. Usually Steve Cooper or Oliver Hemming
will be on hand in our presentation room (the H.O.W Room) 15 to 30
minutes before
the Seminar. If you need help, these are the various people you may need
to contact: Click here for list |
