ITER-like ICRH system couples power into plasma

On the 6th of May JET's new Ion Cyclotron Resonance Heating system (ITER-like ICRH system) coupled power into plasma for the first time. This represents an important milestone in one of JET's most extensive enhancement projects.

A large fraction of the 2008 Experimental Programme will be dedicated to commissioning the ITER-like ICRH system, including testing its capability of coupling power into plasma even during strongly varying Edge Localised Modes (ELMs). more >>
