Anniversary talks

On 20th May, 2004, JET celebrated its 25th Anniversary of the Laying of the JET Foundation Stone and the 20th Anniversary of the Official Opening of JET. The JET Anniversary day was organised under the patronage of the European Commissioner for Research, M. Philippe Busquin. We would like to share some highlights of this anniversary day with you - and reflect on JET's early days too.

We were very proud to meet many distinguished guests at the JET site on the Anniversary day. Many of them can be seen in the photograph below. All the visitors, including former JET staff as well as current JET and Culham site staff, were able to follow the talks either in person in the Hans-Otto Wüster Seminar Room or at relay points in conference rooms. Later in the afternoon, everybody was invited to visit the Torus Hall, learn about our Remote Handling system, see a photo exhibition and finally enjoy an informal BBQ.
