PreferencesThe Preferences dialog is invoked from the main JETDSP window by selecting 'Preferences' from the 'File' menu. It allows you to change various parameters for the program, and is split into five sections. After changing the parameters you need, click the 'Exit' button to apply the changes and close the dialog. Note that the changes will only be saved for use in future JETDSP sessions if you click the 'Save...' button. The different preferences panels are explained at the following links: Data Access Graphics Printed Graphics Interactive program Overall Setup Printed Graphics PreferencesThe 'File-Preferences' dialog has several parameters controlling what is sent to the printer:
choose 'Hardcopy type: Black and White' to send output to the printer in which each color has been replaced by a different linestyle. By default: - hardcopy includes a title whereas on-screen graphics do not. The contents of the title are defined by the title dialog of the annotation menu. - all hardcopy will include a timestamp in the bottom right hand corner. - the font used on hardcopy is different from the on-screen font. This is because (particularly on the PC) the TrueType fonts are rendered much more accurately on the printer, but the vector-drawn Hershey fonts appear better on the screen. Remember to click 'Save...' to have these parameters defined for the next session. See also: Data Access Graphics Printed Graphics Interactive program Overall Setup |
