View Data as Text

To view the data of a signal as text, select it and click the 'View Data...' button on the View/Print window.  The data of the signal will appear in an editor window.

The same information is also available from the main signal table. Select the signal you are interested in and choose 'View Selected Signal Data' from the 'Information' menu.

Please note that any changes made to the data in this file will not result in the program's copy of the data being modified.

The default editor used for this is nedit on Linux JAC and notepad on Windows. You can change this editor by changing the following line:

TEXTEDITOR nedit

in the jetdsp startup file. This is usually at $HOME/.jetdsprc on Unix and C:\Winnt\Profiles\username\jet\jetdsp\jetdsp.ini on Windows. A full definition of the location of this file for non-standard installations is given here.

If you would like extra information to be included in the text file that is generated and viewed by JETDSP, or for the format to be different (or under user control), please email us at dmsd-support@jet.efda.org.
